Our beginning was in 2021. After being at the forefront of evolving energy markets collectively for over 35 years, much of this at AEMO, Taryn and Ruth wanted to help drive the energy evolution by partnering with organisations and businesses who are leading the charge.

Taryn has over 16 years' experience advocating and driving, identifying justifiable policy positions, drafting and reviewing rule changes and submissions, and implementing market design and regulatory reforms. This includes both wholesale and retail electricity and gas experience in AEMO and the AER, and is an expert in all NEM regulation, including registration, settlements and prudentials, connections, networks including dedicated connection assets and designated network assets, economic regulation, metering and retail markets. She is in her element when finding solutions to the most challenging market problems and identifying the best way to address them. Taryn loves applying her expertise by helping others understand how new utility-scale and distributed energy resources business models can participate and operate in the NEM.
Director
Ruth has over 20 years' in commercial, operational and subsequently team leadership roles within AEMO. She has had the opportunity to negotiate and manage a range of energy contracts, financially model exploration and development opportunities, uplift and lead market operational teams and most recently taken on re‑design and implementation of the wholesale demand response mechanism. Ruth likes most to understand how various aspects of our markets fit together, what is hindering the new business models that businesses are seeking to commercialise and finding solutions to operational and regulatory blockers that will allow for a more efficient market.
Principal
Roger's wealth of experience in market development and operations has developed through senior roles in both Australian wholesale and retail gas markets mainly within AEMO, and in technical marketing and engineering roles in Australia and overseas. He has led, developed and driven many market changes requiring extensive engagement with a broad range of participants. He most recently led the Declared Wholesale Gas Market (DWGM) Enhancement Project which involved wide ranging consultation with industry on the development of the detailed market design and Market Procedures for Capacity Rights, Capacity Rights Auctions, Ancillary Payments and Uplift Payments. Roger has an unrivalled interest in facilitating and improving Australian gas market outcomes and a depth of knowledge that is unmatched.
Specialist
Greg works in partnership with the Evolution team as a planning and connections specialist (or strategist) and is Global Power Energy's Managing Director. He has led AEMO's national connections and Energy Queensland connections assessment teams and has over 10 years' experience providing strategic advice, negotiating network connections access, and system planning and expansion. Greg is solutions-based and has experience in a broad range of load and generator technologies including renewable technologies, energy storage, and hydrogen. He is keen to improve both market and participant outcomes as the electricity market continues to transition to a net zero emissions.
